Islam is one of the major religions in the world. It has a significant influence on the global cultural and economic landscape. The religion is based on the teachings of a divine creator, and the Quran is the primary religious text. Islam teaches that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad by God (Arabic: الله‎, Allah), through the angel Gabriel, over a period of approximately 23 years, from the angelic throne in the cave of Mecca.

Quran:

The Quran is the primary religious text of Islam. It is the only sacred religious text that is accepted as the final and absolute Word of God by all Muslims. The Quran contains the word 'God', at least 99 names of God and the attributes of God, and the word 'Allah', the personal name of God. It also contains verses from various other religious texts, including the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Quran has a distinctive style and language. The style is consistent and, except for a few verses, it is composed in a continuous and uninterrupted style. The language is also quite consistent, with only a few verses being expressed in a different style. The language of the Quran is very similar to that of the Hebrew Bible.

Hadees:

Hadees are religious texts that provide guidance to Muslims on religious questions and matters of religious law. The word 'hadees' is derived from the Arabic word 'dhaiyā', which means 'that which is heard' or 'that which is said'. The Quran has a large collection of hadeeth, many of which are accompanied by oral traditions (sahihah). The collection is known as'sahihah al-Jathiyah' in the Arabic, or 'the Authentic Book' (kursi kitab) in Urdu.
